Founded in 2014 by Daniel Szor, Cotswolds Distillery helped pioneer the renaissance of English whisky while quickly establishing an international reputation for premium craft gin. Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the distillery champions traditional production methods, locally sourced ingredients and uncompromising quality. Every spirit is distilled in small batches using locally grown grains and carefully selected botanicals, reflecting the character of one of England's most celebrated rural landscapes. Today, Cotswolds Distillery is recognised as one of the country's leading craft distilleries, producing award-winning single malt whiskies and gins celebrated for their richness, authenticity and exceptional flavour.
Cotswolds Single Malt Whisky is the first whisky ever distilled in the Cotswolds. It is produced with 100% locally grown, floor-malted barley and matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels and reconditioned red wine casks.
Tasting Note: Rich and expressive, Cotswolds Single Malt opens with aromas of honey, ripe orchard fruit and orange peel, layered with vanilla, toasted malt and gentle baking spice. The palate is rounded and generous, showing notes of apricot, caramel, malted biscuit and warm oak, balanced by a fresh citrus lift and a touch of nuttiness. The finish is long, warming and subtly spicy, with lingering notes of toffee, dried fruit and sweet oak. A polished English single malt with enough richness to enjoy neat, but also approachable with a splash of water.
