Nestled on the banks of the Loire in Pouilly-sur-Loire, Domaine Tinel-Blondelet is a sixth-generation family estate led by Annick Tinel, whose passion for expressing the region's finest terroirs has earned the domaine widespread acclaim. Farming around 15 hectares across the prestigious appellations of Pouilly-Fumé and Sancerre, the estate follows a sustainable, low-intervention approach, combining careful vineyard management with meticulous cellar work to preserve the purity of Sauvignon Blanc. Their wines have received recognition from leading critics and competitions, including Wine Enthusiast, Decanter World Wine Awards, Guide Hachette and the Concours Général Agricole de Paris, reflecting a consistent commitment to quality and authentic Loire winemaking.
Tasting Note: Named after one of Domaine Tinel-Blondelet's finest vineyard sites, Genetin is a beautifully poised expression of Pouilly-Fumé.
The 2020 vintage opens with aromas of grapefruit, ripe lemon, white peach and elderflower, layered with subtle smoky flint and fresh-cut herbs. Fermented in stainless steel to preserve purity and aged on fine lees for added texture, the palate is both vibrant and refined, combining crystalline citrus fruit with chalky minerality and a distinctive saline freshness. The finish is long, precise and elegantly smoky, revealing the classic fumé character that has made Pouilly-Fumé one of the Loire Valley's greatest expressions of Sauvignon Blanc.
Enjoy now or cellar for up to a decade. This style is consistent with the estate's philosophy of expressing terroir through sustainable viticulture, stainless-steel vinification and lees ageing.
